The various types of leases are:
ACMI/Wet/Damp lease
Aircraft Crew Maintenance Insurance. You are an airline requiring temporary capacity to cover for AOGs, rapid expansion or you are planning a start up and need someone else’s expertise and aircraft to get you off the ground quickly, safely whilst minimising the risks you are willing to take.
ACMI/Wet/Damp leases are the solution. Most costs are covered in the price and can be considered as a “turn key” solution. For example you need a Freighter for 6 months only, just before deciding to go ahead on a full scale Cargo operation ? We will get the plane you need at short notice and at the end of the lease agreement, your will be able to determine your now proven requirements based on your very own experience, for the very routes you fly and the capacity you need.
A good ACMI contract will bring many benefits from a low risk option and an immediate revenue.
Dry Lease
Typically a client with its own AOC, looking for a longer term lease at the end of which a purchase option may be possible.
